13 yr old Jack Russell Terrier

Good Day,

2 days ago my Jack starting limping. He has not fallen or been hurt in anyway. He is deaf an only see's shadows.

Because of his age, could it be a stroke ? He is not feeling any pain or discomfort. His leg is completely recoiled when he walks.

Older Jack limping

Have you checked your Jack's paw for splinters/glass shards/thorns? Check to see if your Jack's nails need to be cut. I would then try to keep your Jack off of his feet for a few days. Sometimes it could be just a minor strain that will resolve itself. It is hard to keep a dog off it's feet! If it doesn't resolve I would think about taking your Jack in. I don't think it would be a stroke, I think you would see more symptoms otherwise. But your vet would be able to check the whole body to see if there is anything else going on. Hope your pup is ok!
