17 year old with collapsing traechea

My Bubby is 17 and has a collapsing traechea. I have him on homeopathic cough meds but he still has trouble about 5 times a day/night. He is eating, drinking, peeing and pooping. He doesn't play much anymore but loves to be loved. He walks around outside and then comes in and lays down or walks around alittle. I know he is slowing down a lot and this breathing problem has me concerned. I don't know if I should do the unthinkable (to me) or since he is eating, drinking and voiding, that all is still ok. I don't want to be unfair to him or his quality of life but he is not in pain. Any words will help

What does your Bet say. If he's not in pain or struggling to breathe, I would not euthanize. You will always question if it was the "right thing to do" just make sure your "bubby" is comfortable.
