6-yr-old Jack Russell urinating on our bed!
(New Bern, NC)
Our JRT has urinated on our bed TWICE in the past 2 years. He has a pet door going into a huge fenced yard so this has to be a behavioral event.
My husband is retired and I work part-time, so he isn't left alone for long periods of time and we walk him about 2 miles every day for exercise. A dog trainer told us (a vet, as well) that he's probably a puppy farm dog because he has socialization issues and we bought him at a pet store. He's been to obedience training (and passed) and is usually a really sweet dog around the house......just not good with strangers/children or some other dogs so we have to keep him out of situations that cause him anxiety. He's unpredictable. I just bought some Pet Ease at PetsMart which is a herbal kibble to help calm dogs. Please weigh in on what would cause him to urinate on our bed.....was he just mad or what? Of course we didn't scold him because I didn't see him do it. He, also, has stomach issues of late....took him to the vet to rule out physical problems so we're looking at his diet. Our little guy's name is Dooley.
