Jack Russell kidney trouble
by: Anonymous

I'm so so sorry to hear about your Jack. Vet bills can be very very pricey and unfortunately kidney failure is not uncommon for JRT's. I would ask your Vet about any special diets, fluids and vitamins that would be helpful for dogs with kidney issues. I would think he/she would recommend a low protein diet and lots of water among other things. There are some medications out there that may help as well. Depending on what stage your dog is in, the Vet may have some recommendations. I would also ask about how successful surgery is but from what I hear, it is not usually that helpful in many cases.

Our thoughts are with you!
