Change in behaviour

by Lauren
(england)

Hi

We have had a jack russell called elvis for under a year now and he has always been happy and loved welcoming people in and being socialable but a couple of days ago two of our rabbits got out the cage and my jack russell attacked them before i released they digged a hole and got out i now thats normal because they were used for hunting rabbits years ago but since then elvis, our dog has been acting odd he doesnt want to play, doesnt want to be strocked i dont understand why, he did get moaned at when he killed the rabbits but elvis doesnt care if he gets in trouble he just carries on being a wild puppy. Why has his behaviour changed so much?
Elvis is about 9 months old.
Please help thank you.

Yes they are hunters and were originally trined to hunt foxes in England. Ours will go after anythin that is furry. We are training him to be sociable, we don't want to take away his spunk but we don't want him to take a chunk out of every one either. He is so adorable and we adore this little guy, he is our baby.
