Crackers mum

I have had a rescue Jack/parson for 10 weeks now, she had mange and was completely without hair on her legs and underside and her hair on top was a bit thin, she has grown a lot of white hair (she is rough coated) and now I see brown colour appearing in what I think as her undercoat, will she go completely brown as I have never seen a brown j/p should I have her professionally groomed?

Rescue Jack Russell

Thanks for rescuing a Jack!! So sorry to hear about the mange. The mange can mean that the immune system is compromised, so make sure to feed your Jack a high quality puppy food and maybe a vitamin to give an extra boost. You can also add fish oil to her food to help with the coat.
Even though she is getting brown on her coat I bet that there will also be white spots.
Here is some good info on grooming that I found on this website.

However I would wait till more of her coat has grown in before using any grooming device on her.
Best wishes for a happy holidays to you and your newest addition!
