Eating grass

by Chris
(dallas, TX)

I have a jrt Labrador mix but all of its character traits are that of a jrt. Mine is real active and runs around the yard when I am playing with her. She will run and suddenly stop and crouch down and snap at the grass. When I go toward her she will snap at the grass and take off running. Is this common for JRTs?

Eating grass

Sometimes dogs eat grass out of habit and it in fact it's pretty common. However, some dogs eat grass because it is a natural remedy for a gassy stomach and it helps them throw up. It seems like your dog does it out of habit/for the taste so there is nothing to worry about.
