Elvis fighting
by: Deborah

Thanks it does not happen very often maybe twice weekly and when we first got Patch we gave Elvis alot of attention even more so.Patch just backs off he is very submissive so I do not have to worry to much about him Elvis has really gotten alot better then he used to be with other dogs Elvis when I got him he was not well socialized at all.But I do know when 2 females fight it really can get very bad they even say one will kill the other if it gets bad enough.Elvis knows he is wrong because when it happens I snap his little butt not hard just enough to let him know he was wrong and then I ignore him and he hates that so much! And I have even taught him after awhile after the fight stops in awhile after I tell him to tell his brother he is sorry and Elvis goes up to Patch and Kisses him!
Thanks so much

JR's Fighting
by: Maureen

Hi, I have JRs myself so I know what you are dealing with but my problem is with 2 females. It would seem that Patch is maturing now and Elvis is resenting him, the fighting will only get worse! A friend of mine had father and son JRs and when the younger one got to about 18mths old they would seriously fight, he fixed the problem by getting the older dog desexed and now they are the best of friends. It is well known that same sex JR's can fight to the death. Hope this helps.
