My Jack Russell chooses to spend time on his own during the evening when I am in the house myself. He only joins me when my sons are with me. Am I boring him? I am the main carer and walk him three times per day

Jack not socializing

Maybe spice things up a bit for your Jack. Get some new toys that you keep in the living room. Try stuffing a Kong with peanut butter and biscuits and give it to him, it should keep him busy for a while. Taking an obedience class together is a good way to bond and then you can practice some of the tricks together at home. When you go to watch TV, call him over (maybe give him a treat) and have him sit next to you on the sofa. All these things should help to increase your bond together.
