I thought the same exact thing well why does my jack chi have funny looking paws when he sits or stands ... For these dogs it's normal and as they progress each month you will notice in the way the run I call mine a little deer because it seems more like they are leaping when they are running and when sitting you'll notice how one paw is like hanging .... Do not worry your dog is fine

My oldest jk is 2yrs old, and when I took him to the vet at 10 wks because of his front legs truning outward, like a ballerina, I was told he had dwarfism in the front legs the lower joint was slightly deformed. He is fine plays football(should play for Wales). The only problem is that the two nails have to be cliped every 3_4 weeks, but I would suggest that you take him for a check up, to see what your vet suggests. They are amazing breed giving unconditional love . wishing you both all the best . Pauline
