High-pitched noises causing anxiety in Penny

by Ruthie
(Monument OR)

My 2 yr female terrier cross, Penny, is becoming increasingly sensitive to high pitched noises. It started out with things like the weedeater, chainsaw but now it is even the squirrels chirping in the field, the kids swing set squeking. Any ideas?

Jack Russell scared of noises NEW

It sounds like your pup has high anxiety and it's getting worse unfortunately. I would check with your vet to make sure nothing medically is going on. At this point I would talk to the vet about some medication to help ease some of this frightfulness. And in conjunction with that hiring a pet behaviorist to help ease some of your dog's stress so that you can eventually wean her from the medication.
