This lady is trying to sell me a pup that will be 5-6 weeks old. Is that old enough for me to buy him?

In the state of California it is illegal to give, purchase or adopt a puppy or kitten under eight weeks of age. I personally prefer they stay with the bitch until they are nine or ten weeks old.

No. A puppy should be at least 8 weeks old when you pick it up from the breeder.
