How to stop my 4-5 month old Jack Russel from attacking our washing basket?

Our Jack Russsel has all the typical Jack Russel madness, but usually we can dirvert or contain or tell him off. But recently he attacks a big plastic blue washign backet in the kitchen, he barks at it like it's a intruder or monster then attacks and bites at it, even after a while when clearly it's not attacking or being hurt by him. Sam with our ironing board actually when we get it out. Anyway to show/train him that these bigger objects are not alive, harmful etc? Cheers.

Barking at inanimate objects
by: Patsy

Its definitely a phase that some puppies go through. I wouldn't worry about it too much. With our Jack, we would let him sniff the offending object at his level, give him a treat for having a quiet voice and then distract him with one of his toys. See if that helps.
