lost my jrt after 8 years. Cant help to think her life was cut so short because of in-breeding. She was riddled with 4 different diseases and I was forced to put her down. Any thoughts?

so sorry for your loss. one of our JRT is from a puppy farm (we purchased off someone else who couldnt handle anymore). Whilst I know its wrong to do that, I couldnt say no to this little guy going from puppy farm - to a home that consists of a cage.

its such a shame things like this happen, 8 is so young :(.

at least you gave him a good life albeit short.

In breeding

So sorry to hear about the loss of your Jack. It's never easy losing a family member. I've been there too and it's devastating.

It's hard to so off hand what went wrong with your little one. However, there are some unethical breeders out there that don't screen properly for diseases and will mate without checking bloodlines. 8 years is very young for a Jack to go. If you know where you got your Jack from you could always check to see if there is complaints against that breeder. wonder if your vet could help you with that as well.
