Jack russel biting itching behind and under front leg.

My jack Russell has been biting and itching the bottom oher back and licking under her front leg. Its just those two areas. We have been back and forward to the vets with putting her on steroids, antibiotics and hayfever tablets, we have frontlined her and used advocate. She isn't drinking much or eating her biscuits but is eating meat but not overly excited about eating at all unless its a cocktail sausage :) We have just brought her a collar to prevent her chewing herself but its clear to see its driving her mad. Any advice?

Ours was doing this also....corn allergy. Replaced her food with a "cornless" food....problem solved, coat has filled in and she looks wonderful and no excessive scratching.

We are in the same Boat... NEW

Our JRT (who is 2-1/2 yrs. now) came to us at 7 weeks old. He started itching / scratching about a week or two later. He would focus mostly under his front legs / chest area. He would constantly scratch those areas raw. We went to the Vets many times trying to figure it out, with no luck. Then we started experimenting with the Foods he was eating. We so far as to ONLY give him food that had all the Protiens broke down it it already. Down to just amino acid complex. Even that didn't help. Long story, short. He are going with Him having Seasonal Alergies and he is alergic to Beef, of any kind , as far as we can tell. It actually took us more than 1-1/2 years to get a handle on his scratching. Poor Little Guy !He is way better, for the most part. Keeping our fingers & Toes crossed.
