pot belly
by: Anonymous

My 13 year old has a distended belly as well, turns out he has adrenal cancer, and that is one of the symptons. Please check this out. It could also mean he has cushings, as these are the typical symptons. I love JRT's, and hate to hear this. I hope you get it figured out. Please post when your done at the vets, i would be interested in keeping up with your situation.

Weight problem
by: Deborah

I have 2 JRT,s and one is a shorty and the other one is long legged and Elvis my shorty has been having the same problem and yes he looks like a pot bellied pig also but lately I have all of my doggies on little diets and Elvis has already lost about 2lbs and is starting to look like a JRT again LOL
It also maybe a thyriod problem and you may want to take your baby to the vet to get some blood tested.
Good Luck.

enlarged organs
by: John

Pot bellied or distended belly? You might want to have your vet run some bloodwork on Macy for elevated blood cell counts which could indicate a problem with one of Macy's internal organs. best of luck and please let us know what happens.
