Jack Russell barking
by: Harrold

Jacks (and dogs) bark to communicate. Excessive barking can be for a few reason and in your Jack's case possibly to get attention or because she is bored/lonely.
When she barks and you and then goes to her toys, maybe she wants you to play with her. And when she goes to the door and barks it sounds like she wants to be let in/out.....which is a good thing, she is letting you know that she has to go. If giving her extra attention - playing with her and her toys, immediately letting her in.out when she barks doesn't help, then try ignoring it and then rewarding her when she is quiet.
