10 yr old jack russell wetting bed at night
by: Anonymous

Hi My 10 year old Jackrussell has for the past 6 weeks been weeing at night I wake up to find her licking but not sure if she was licking prior to weeing or after .
The wee is clear and doesnt smell .
But the problem is she sleeps at the foot of our bed either under the blankets or on top .
And it is frustrating having to wash the bed linen 2 to 3 x a week .
Has anyone else had a similiar problem ?

Jack Russell peeing
by: Peggy

Still, it is unusual for a house trained dog of that age to suddenly start doing that. With submissive urination, you usually see it more when the dog is excited or nervous - greeting people or seeing other dogs. I think a vet would be able to better rule out any health issues - if there is none, then you can look into other things that could be causing it.

jack russel wetting in her sleep
by: robert brown

This has only started recently and never at night. Only when she is comfortable in the day, when she either sleeps on my lap or on the settee. I am wondering if it is a psycholical problem

Jack Russell urinating while sleeping
by: Peggy

It's unusual for a house trained Jack to suddenly start urinating while sleeping. I would take her to the vet to make sure she doesn't have a urinary track infection or something else. In the meantime, make sure you wash her bed with a special cleaning agent that attacks dog urine since dogs have sensitive noses and will often pee where they have before. You can get that at the pet store.
