JRT pooping and peeing at night

Have you tried crating your Jack at night to see if that helps. Usually dogs will not go where they sleep. A crate should be just big enough to stand up, turn around and lie down in comfortably. In theory, if a dog is in an appropriate sized crate, it will not soil it's crate. (unless there's some underlying physical or emotional issues). Make sure the last walk of the night is a long one and it is right before you put your Jack in the crate. Also make sure you have an enzymatic cleaner (you can buy it at the pet store) in case your Jack does go, because dogs tend to revisit places they have gone before.
