Jack Russells are trained to dig as they were originally fox hunters. Go outside with him and when he does dig, tell him sternly NO, If that does not work, flip him over on his back and hold him down. Tell him you are the boss and he is not allowed to do this, they understand and are now thinking they are possibly the smartest dogs in the world. We only had to do this about 5 times to ours. Make sure he looks at you when you are talking to him. We absolutely adore Our little one, as he is our baby.
