J.R IN SEASON & WON'T STOP PEEING EVERYWHERE

Hi I have two Jack Russell's, one Parsons and the other a short legged J.R.

They are both in season and they won't stop humping each other, they are at it all day and all night and keep peeing everywhere in the house. Why is this and what can we do apart from spaying them.

UTI

How long have they been peeing in the house? Have they ever had house training issues before? Also is it only when they are in heat? Females that are not spayed can develop frequent/recurring urinary tract and bladder infections.(VERY painful) Have you had the dogs checked by a vet? If not you may want to consider it.

On a side note, the information that the "anonymous" person was leaving is all correct, and I do agree with their opinion, it is frustrating/painful to watch animals die all around you no matter how hard you try to save them..because there are just too many..because people don't do something as simple as spay and neuter. Maybe this person has the rite idea, just the wrong personality type to be of any help. Have you looked into any of the other ramifications of not having a dogs spayed? It is definitely something worth considering. 7 years old is not too late to have your dogs spayed. They would just need a full screen blood test to make sure they are in good health before the surgery.

Hope that the one bad apple hasn't turned you away from using this form as a means of getting information.

Get a bloody life will you. My dogs are 7 years old and have never been like this before. That's why I asked the bloody question. My dogs are very happy. Get over yourself. I'm a mother to three children and a business owner so I am more than capable of looking after 2 dogs.
Like I said, you don't know me or my dogs so keep your pathetic comments to yourself. No ones even mentioned about breeding my dogs. You need to seriousley get a life. What kind of forum is this if you get pathetic abuse of people that have to remain annoymous.

I didn't have to assume much, you are surprised by the fact that your dogs are urinating in your house, and you don't have them spayed. You are clearly clueless. That's all I need to know. I have worked in animal welfare long enough to know that you are more then likely an irresponsible pet owner. I have met you a million times. And I hope to god that you never succeed in breeding your dogs, because you would make an even worse dog breeder then you are a dog owner. God save whatever souls you bring to this planet. Also, for your dogs sake...read a book or two will you?

Don't breed and buy while homless pets DIE
by: Anonymous

Why don't you want to get your dogs spayed? If it is because you are intending to breed them then, you are getting what you deserve. MILLIONS of healthy young adoptable dogs are killed every year in the united states alone, because people like you keep pumping out more and more to make money on the novelty of puppies. If you are not intending to breed then shame on you any way! Not spaying a dog that will not be bred puts them at a higher risk of developing ovarian and uterine cancer. There is NO GOOD reason not to spay and neuter your pets! And if you can not financially afford it then you should seek out assistance from some sort of SNAP program in your area. Contact a local shelter they will have the information. If your not willing to do that, then you don't deserve to have a dog.
