I have a 2 yr. old female, jack russel terrie dog,, Molly,, and we got her a ball to play with outside in the yard,, the ball is about the size of a bowling ball,, this is her favorite toy,, she runs around the yard, barking and pushing and flipping the ball and loves to bring it to our feet to kick it for her to go catch it,, but lately after she does this she has started hacking and spitting up foamie stuff sometimes,, this worries us,, is this normal,, should we take her to the vet?

Jack coughing up foam
by: Frances

Molly sounds like such a sweetie! I wish my Jack would play fetch with a ball.
I think it would be a good idea to take Molly in to get checked out just in case. Coughing up foam could be a sign of heart disease or kennel cough, bloat or infection. Or it could be nothing. But I would let the vet make sure everything is fine.
