I am the proud owner of a beautiful female JR, Abbie. Long haired and totally scruffy. We walk for miles, however when there is snow on the ground her paws seem to hurt her and she very quickly starts to pick her paws up, she's obviously in pain and I carry her home. I have stopped taking her out too far when the weather is very cold or there is snow/ice. The problem clears very quickly once we are back home and I wondered if anyone else has a JR with this problem and how to tackle it. Abbie is otherwise fit as a fiddle and full of life.
