My 5 year old Parsons Jack Russell has suddenly become aggressive.

Hello I am concerned about my 5 year old Parsons Jack Russell, I bought Indy as a 5 month old pup from a now non existing puppy mill he was in poor health when I bought him (not realizing his poor condition because I bought him in a parking lot) he had very little fur on his tail which ended up being a form of mange, he also had a bad flea infestation and had tape worms.

We also have a sweet and friendly tempered Rat Terrier who is now 10 so Indy was raised with other dogs.
Indy was my cuddle buddy from the start and decided I was his "special person" as they say Jack Russells choose, in the last few months he has become very snappy towards our Rat Terrier and also my husband and until today he has never snapped at me but he was sleeping on our bed and I went into the bedroom to put laundry away and he growled and snapped at me and continued to try and bite me as I tried to verbally calm him down.
He has NEVER done this to me why all the sudden? Is it possible as I have read that if he was that there may have been inbreeding which can cause onset aggregation.? Please help because it makes me soooooo sad to think I may have to get rid of him.
Thank-you,
Mary

He's testing/playing
by: Paddy's mom

Paddy does 2 things. Play and love. He loves to play, aggressive bad dog, when the phone rings. He chases my feet and barks and growls.
He did anyway.
I use the can with pennies in it, taped closed shake it, and that does the trick.
If your dogs aren't neutered. Get him neutered!
