Jealous of new pup
by: Terri

I would introduce them slowly. Crate the puppy and let your Jack be able to sniff. Make sure you have treats on hand for both of them for non aggressive non barking behavior. I would gradually increase their time together but for now supervise the time that they are together and separate at any sign of aggression. Also, be sure that you are paying lots of attention to your older Jack and be sure to pet him first and feed him first before you do the puppy.

They will work it out.I have 2 Jacks myself and my older one Elvis is 4 years old and I rescued another boy named Patch about 3 or 4 months ago and at first there was a lot of Jealousy. You may need to get a trainer maybe but they usually work it out between them.
Good Luck
