Jack Russell shredding

At 10 months, puppies are still very playful and view your stuff as toys, they just don't know better. If, she has just one or two of her own toys it is much easier to teach her the difference. When she is better trained, you may wish to add a couple more.

It is also a good idea to reserve one favorite toy that your dog only gets when you are gone. It will become a special treat that will occupy more of her time than her ordinary, everyday toys.

Anytime you see your dog shredding, say "no" sharply and then give her one of her toys. Remember, many dogs chew out of boredom and lack of exercise - so make sure you are doing lengthy walks. And crating your Jack when you are away will cut down on access to be able to chew things.
Also, consider taking her to an obedience class - socializing her while learning commands. This will also cut down on shredding. Good luck!
