My jack russell/ yorkshire terrier cross has been suffering from MG and Megasphogus for 2 years now is medicated with mestinon. I wanted to see if anyone else has had to deal with this as I would like to know what is the long term prognosis. I am part of the yahoo megs group but i thought someone might have the same problem. Thanks Jeanette

Our 3 year old JRT has been recently diagnosed. From my understanding the prognosis is pretty good as long as you are vigilant about how you feed them. We put our Jack in our son's old car seat with the bowl elevated and do smaller more spread out meals and have him stay elevated for 20 minutes after feedings. We are experimenting with the consistency of food - right now we are moistening it and blending it to a milkshake like consistency.

Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated.
