Hi recently, more so over the last month my 16month old male J.R.T Dex has become seriously aggressive towards other male dogs. Not just any male dogs, medium to large male dogs . He dont just make a noise or show teeth , he full on goes into attack .
He came within seconds of being killed a week ago as he fliped on a StaffxPitt type dog and Dex latched on to the rump of this dog .
I understand he needs to be castrated ASAP as my vet last week told me this will help ????
Im unsure of the behaviour benefits of this as it done NOTHING to my last dogs behaviour.
Please can anyone offer a clue as to why the aggression is so servere so suddenly ??And offer any ideas as to how I can get my old dog back ? He is currently 100% with people .
