Peeing Problem

by Kristy

We inherited a 12yr old Jack Russell about 6months ago when my fiance's aunt passed away. She had rescued him after he had been abused. He's a very sweet loving dog usually, but it seems every time my fiance touches him at all, to pet him or anything he starts peeing. He never does it when I touch him only my fiance. Any ideas of how I can correct this problem?

It sounds to me that he was abused by a man I just rescued a 11 month old Jack named Patch and for some reason he does not like men do I guess he was abused by a man also but that is what it sounds like that is the problem!

Hi Kristy

Your JR probably just needs to get used to your fiance first,if he was abused it was probably by a male person JR's are very intelligent little creatures and he remembers everything about his horrible past.(Maybe its a male who abused him so he will only trust you) My sister also has a dog (not a JR) an the same thing but after a long wile he began to trust the men in our house again... It may take him a wile but all you can do is to support him in every way you both can. Please let me know about his progress (benita@hlvaudit.co.za)

Best Regards Benita
