Poo Problem

by lesley

Hi We have had a Labrador for 10 years he is so soft, last week we got a 8 week old short legged JR - He has done fine over the last week of going to the door when he wants to go to the toilet and he during the night doing his business on the puppy mat at the door. However I came down stairs this morning to find that he had pooed in my other dogs bed - twice! Why would he suddenly start doing this?

Puppy pooping inside
by: Albert

8 weeks is still very very young. At that age, a puppy can't be expected to consistently go by the door to ask to be let out since they don't have control over their bladder. You need to put the puppy on a set schedule to go out. I would read up on basic potty training for puppies to help you.
