Pregnancy

My JR Terrier is currently pregnant by our golden retriever. I'm afraid that the birth of these puppies will kill her due to the size of the daddy. I was wondering if this is really something we should be concerned about? Thanks for your help!

REALLY!!!
by: DISGUSTED!!!!

I am sorry but I find it very irresponsible of you to have a male and female dog unaltered living in the same house, especially with such a size difference. Dogs naturally just want to reproduce, you hurt her terribly getting her pregnant and now you are going to severly hurt her with the litter!
YOU SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO OWN A DOG!!!

It would be a good idea to have an xray done at about 7 weeks, that will tell you how many puppies are there and possibly what size they are, also advise your vet of the possability that she will need a ceasarian birth, that way the vet will be on standby in case she gets into trouble and can't produce a puppy.
Hope this helps.
