random collapsing of legs

I own a 4 yr old jrt female. Lately her front left leg collapsed under her while running on grass. I checked for holes but there were none. Then, a few days later I had her outside to go potty and while she was walking around her back righ leg gave out. Then just a day ago she was playing inside and jerked her back right leg up like she did something to it but there was no warmth or soreness. Any idea what could be causing this? My boyfriends seems to think it could be from lack of exercise.

Collapsing legs

Well it's good that it's nothing too serious. Bed rest for a Jack is going to be tough! Good luck :-)

I took her to the vet. They didn't know why her legs were collapsing, but I found out she has a hairline fracture in her front left wrist so that explains her not putting weight on it. Stuck on bed rest for 6 weeks.

Randomly collapsing of legs

I would definitely take your Jack to the vet because it's unusually for a dog that young to be collapsing. I'm wondering if your Jack maybe has nerve damage in her spinal cord that is causing the legs to sometimes give out. It could also be a heart issue or some type of brain activity issue (like a seizure). I don't think it's because of lack of exercise because your Jack would be acting out in other ways if it was.
