Thank you Robin for your comments I certainly do appreciate anything that I can learn regarding these little fella's. The female that I had she just seemed so much more passive. Now Milo being a male seems to be that much more of an attention getter. "So to speak", he seems to know when and when you're not watching him. He is just the most curious little guy I have met. Total opposite of the female. He's not aggressive by any means but I guess that comes with so many of us paying so much attention to him. Even if one person leaves the house he will go to the front door and hit the blinds with his paws just so you will go running. Normally he would do this to go outside and do his duties, but he is now starting to make a game of it. I have determined that once I realized what he was doing, I should catch him in the act and say "no" then say come get a treat. He is slowly but surely accepting the fact that I mean what I say and we aren't playing a game.

P.S. I think it is just wonderful to speak with someone who knows exactly how to train a JRT as they are the most common of breeds.

Hi Rita,
There's no link between coat type and aggressive tendencies. Tendencies toward aggression can result from a number of factors, the main one being: poor breeding, poor socialization as a puppy, and general mistreatment by owners.

They are the sweetest pets anyone could ever own. I've heard alot of negative responses from people saying they are an aggressive dog. My feelings are that if you treat them with love and respect them (as you do humans) they will return the love and respect two fold.
Those that I have spoken to about this always happens to be the rough coat breed. I have always owned a smooth coat both male/female and have never had any issues on negativity. Is there actually any truth to this? If so please email me back. I just find it out of the ordinary.
