My jack Russell has had a swollen paw and it is pink, he has been to a vet but it is baffling him. He thought it was cancer and wanted to amputate his toe, however he tried him on antibiotics and it virtually cleared. He had four weeks of antibiotics and came off them two weeks ago, but now the swelling has come back. His pads are swollen too, any ideas please

Jack with swollen paws
by: Andrew

Your poor pup, that must be hard to see. Sometimes swollen paws can be a sign of cancer especially since it's not going away with antibiotics. Has your vet done a skin biopsy? Also, is there another vet you can get a second opinion from?
