Stepping in poop

I just got a JRT and she is 4 months. I can't get her to stop stepping on her poop and playing with it. What can I do?

It's not uncommon for dog's to do this especially at that age. I would be vigilant about picking up the poop as soon as she goes. That will definitely break the habit! Make the stools unappealing by adding a spoonful of canned pineapple, canned pumpkin, or spinach to your Jack's meal. Yelling at her for eating poop gets her negative attention and will make her want to continue doing it.
