Jack suddenly fearful

It's hard to get inside a dog's mind to see what is bothering them. My dog became fearful out of nowhere and we were able to trace it back to a thunderstorm that happened the week before. So it really could be anything. The face that your Jack is limping means that he could be in some kind of pain, maybe he injured his foot in some way (even though you don't see any visual signs of it). I would take your Jack in to the vet just in case. Sometimes pain can make a dog fearful or aloof.
