Tilly - nearly 3

Its my sofa...isn't it?
I got Tilly from a rescue centre just over 1 year ago. This is how she looked at me and I fell in love with her straight away. I am her 4th owner and it quickly became apparent why as she has been hard work. I'm so happy to have her, we have laughter, tears and real 'standoffs' over who is boss - over the past year I've realised I can't give her an inch and its really paying off now. She is very good...most of the time! I've always had labradors before a parsons jack russell but thoroughly enjoy the challenges Tilly provides. I had no idea just how wilful she can be. I find training with games the easiest with her as she gets bored easily. I no longer panic about her attacking other dogs and getting into serious grief with neighbouring dog walkers - she wears a 40 foot line. Her recall is very good now but just in case she gets a rabbit or partridge scent I can quickly put my foot on the line and rein her in! She is totally water obsessed. She has no interest in fetchng a ball in the water. People always laugh when they see her, totally focused on just swimming!! Click here to read or post comments. |
