Tooth Dying

by Judy

My 11 year old JR has a canine tooth that the vet thinks should be pulled, or a root canal. He has some type of disorder with his central nervous system, or maybe a pinched nerve in his neck, and I am concerned about anesthesia. He doesn't seem in pain from the tooth (yet!) and it has been this way (darker than the rest of his teeth) for awhile now. Has anyone had to face a similar problem?

I have a 5 Year old JRT named Elvis and 4 of his teeth are cracked and 2 of them are his canines but he does not seem to be in any pain at all and I had my vet look at him and he told me not to give him anything hard to eat like bones hard treats etc etc.He did tell me that if he has anymore problems with his teeth later on that the surgery would cost me $500.00 a tooth so that would be over $2,000.00 so Im trying my hardest not to let him eat anything hard or damaging to his teeth. Please keep me informed on how your baby does here is my email address I live in Sarasota Florida

Good Luck :)
