Training Tips for a jack russell who has Separation Anxiety

I would like to know if anyone has any advise on training a JRT with Separation Anxiety. I have read a lot of articles on the subject. I know its going to be a lot of work but I think my JRT female is totally worth it.I feel really bad because I think I am definitely the root of the problem.

tricks and treats

Yeah I made the same mistake, my best tips are using treat balls like Kongs, Linkables and just the good old treasure hunt- just throw a handful of very tasty treats like dried liver around.
Be calm when you leave don't look her in the eye and make sure the treat ball etc is the very last thing you do... I always have to shuffle family and friends out the door first and make them walk up the road a bit, honestly I think sometimes that they are harder to work with than the dog!
And dont make a fuss when you come home, its hard too especially when they do all their finest tricks to get your attention.
