Approximately one year ago, i adopted a senior jrt. He was very depressed and aloof. I walked him on a long lead two times a day, through the woods for an hour each walk. After two months he was starting to get back in shape and relax. After six months he was acting like part of the family.

We had a female mix jrt pup when we got wooly..he tolerated her, but would not play. Just prior to New Year, i couldn't resist the opportunity to get a puppy. The old guy enjoyed it from the start, and the competition around the community food bowl encouraged his appetite. It is now four months later, and the two have become great hiking buddies...we take an hour off-leash walk most days.

All three dogs love the family scene and get on quite well. They are fun every day....yes, and they are a commitment every day as well. The smiles and laughs they bring on a daily basis justifies the effort, for us. I hope you find the pics fun. dave
