What do I call her?!!

Hi JRT fans everywhere.

I have had JRT's called Hobbs (as in Russell Hobbs - clever, a?) Louis, Pip, have still got two called Echo and Healey, and am collecting my new pup in four weeks time. If it were a boy I was going to call it Digger or Alfie, but it's a girl, and I am stuck for a name. Suggestions pleeeeease!!!

Named, at last!!
by: Jilly

Hi you inventive lot!!

Thank you all so very much for the abundance of brilliant names for my puppy. I had a short list of about six of your suggested names!! When the pup was first born she had a black dot on her shoulder blades, she was nicknamed Dotty. She is now five weeks old, and much as I tried using several of the names that you had thought of, I kept coming back to Dotty - it just seemed right, somehow. The only trouble is, the dot of black has grown to quite a patch!! I told the breeder how 'Dotty', though not really applicable any more, had become it's name, and she told me that as a small child her own mother had nicknamed her 'Diddy Dotty' as she was smaller than other children of similar ages. Hence, 'Dotty' is the chosen name for the pup. If she's anything like my other dogs she'll be 'Dotty by name, and dotty by nature!'

Thanks to you all for your help, I think I would probably have chosen 'Daisy' as my second choice name. There were others equally as sweet, but that one appealed to me. Once again, many thanks.

Jilly

Wow! I didn't expect ANY comments, let alone to get so many helpful ideas so quickly! Thank you so much, I'm compiling a short list of names - please keep ideas coming! If it helps, pup's Grandma is Echo, her mother is Willow, dad is Riley, Uncle is Healey. She is a Jack Russell x half Poodle, has a black head and neck and a black patch on her shoulders. Looks like she's going to be longish scruffy haired and is absolutely beautiful (of course!!)
Thanks again for your help,

Jilly
