wont stay in one spot longer than 2 minutes

I have a 15 yd old female jack russell terrier long haired that wont sit still for longer than 2 minutes. she keeps getting up and laying down somewhere else. what is wrong with her? I have put into consideration that she is old and cranky, long hair during the summer she is just hot, and upset stomach. all could be factors, but I would like some definitive answers or advice before I contact a vet. any ideas?

Like you said, it could be anything. Some older dogs can have dementia and that can cause odd behaviors. But anytime there is a noticeable change in behavior it's always a good idea to take them to the vet.
