Worried mommy

by Logan
(North carolina)

My 7 year old female jack russel is acting very odd. She won't come out of her cage didn't eat and only drank a tiny bit of water today. She is sensitive to the touch on her stomach and back side area by her hips. When she lays down she shakes. What could be wrong with her? Could it just be an upset stomach?

Jack Russell not feeling well
by: William

Sorry to hear your Jack isn't feeling well. I would wait for a day and see if she gets any better but if not you should take her to the vet. Especially if this is unusual behavior for her. I'm wondering if she did anything to hurt her back or her hops. It could also be that she is sick. Try and give her some water at different points to make sure she is hydrated. Hope everything is ok!
