Could it be the shampoo your using?

My jack roxy gets a light yellowish tint on her back from time to time, usually when she's not bathed for a few weeks or after a camping trip.. When she's bathed it usually goes away do pretty sure it's a normal thing. If it gets really yellow then she may have a bacterial infection on her skin. Check for small spots on her skin and if there is a dried white discharge or something similar to what would look like dandruff. If that's the case, you might wanna use a microbial shampoo. From what I know, and I'm not an expert here is jack Russell's have very sensitive skin and maybe the shampoo's PH levels are too acidic for te skin. I use a microbial shampoo I got from the vet try few weeks or when shes in need of a bath. It has oatmeal in to to soothe her skin. I hope this helps!!
